Technical Sales Support Engineer

Network ROI is one of Scotland’s top Managed Service Providers (“MSP”). We are re-organising our
Sales & Marketing team and are presently seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join our team. Our
clients whilst UK wide, are primarily across Scotland and the north of England. We work in a hybrid
way (at home, in our offices near Edinburgh and at client premises).

 

Key Duties

  • To work “hand in glove” with the sales team in order to develop and provide technical input
    to sales staff, clients and prospective clients with the team objective of growing existing and
    new client revenues
  • Preparing technical responses for sales proposals, invitations to tender, project design,
    statement of work documentation & etc
  • Participate in technical presentations to clients/prospective clients both directly and via
    Teams, Webinars etc
  • Develop and run “discovery” meetings with potential new clients to help NROI understand
    the client’s technical landscape, priorities, challenges etc
  • Attend and participate in all types of client sales meetings, including Strategic Planning
    Meetings (existing clients) and new business sales meetings both on client premises and via
    remote meeting channels
  • Build strong customer relationships, especially with key contacts and decision-makers
    through your technical knowledge
  • Work closely with our Projects Team and the wider business post-sale, to ensure
    deliverables arrive on time and fulfil the clients’ expectations
  • Keep clients and your team abreast of the latest technologies that might benefit their
    business
  • Support other technical colleagues where the need arises (and in collaboration with your
    manager). Working and communicating with the CTO to confirm delivery of new and existing
    clients’ IT and Business Strategies
  • Working in conjunction with the CTO to deliver the clients’ IT Strategy and ensure
    opportunities and requirements are aligned to the clients’ business strategy

The Candidate

  • You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and have both excellent verbal
    communication skills and polished written skills.
  • Experience in using CRM and administration systems is preferred.
  • Self-starter, easily able to work alone or in a team and find it easy to build rapport with
    colleagues, suppliers and clients alike.
  • Be able to be flexible around the needs of clients and prospective clients in terms of helping
    to achieve deadlines, traveling to/from clients & etc.
  • You will report to our Head of Sales & Marketing who in turn reports to our CEO
  • A full and currently valid driving licence is preferred and the right to work in the UK is
    required.

Technical Skills:
The successful candidate will be experienced in the Managed Service environment, have up to
date IT skills and be able to demonstrate a good grasp of the following technologies:

Maintain knowledge in the following:

  • Microsoft Cloud Technologies – Microsoft 365, Azure etc.
  • Microsoft Technologies & Licensing - not limited to but including Windows Server,
    Remote Desktop Services, SQL Server etc.
  • Networking – an understanding of LAN, WAN, VPN & VLAN networking with
    experience in network infrastructure such as but not limited to Fortinet, HP, Meraki
    etc.
  • Virtualisation – Hyper-V & VMWare
  • VoIP Systems – experience in VoIP based telephony would be advantageous
  • Secure Infrastructure Configuration.
